What model of JBL are these?

Any idea what model of JBL these might be? Thanks in advance. For some reason nearly all photos I see of JBLs have the grilles off, so I’m having a hard time identifying them myself.

Not sure, but certainly worth a look based upon that Sony receiver and turntable adjacent. FWIW, those cast badges are worth $20 alone...

My L36s had more of a shaped V front grill. I vote they are L26s

JBLs of that age usually have the dreaded rotted Foam woofer surround. ALWAYS check to be sure some idiot
has not replaced the factory woofer with some "suitable" auto subwoofer or worse, instead of having the surround replaced.

I believe the L26 only came in oak veneer. Those photos don't look like oak. They look like walnut.

Definitely not L36. The L36 had very distinctive angle front grills. Not plain flat grills as shown in the photos.

I'm thinking L19 based on this, but they look bigger.

L19, rounded brown grille, walnut veneer, typical small-medium size for a modest system which plays above its pay scale. Well worth the effort to acquire, easy refoam, and veneer looks eminently restorable.

Definitely not L19s. The cabinets are too deep. The L19s have very shallow cabinets.

But I do agree that the L19s are great little speakers (fraternal twins of the 4301B Control Monitors) and highly recommend them.

Thanks to everybody for the responses. I'm guessing they're L26s because you can almost make out the high level control through the grille cloth in the upper left corner of the first photo. I'll let you know if I have a chance to check them out.

The quality of the photos look like faded Polaroids. The color of the veneer looks like walnut, but the grain on the top of the cabinet looks like it could be oak.

Either way, with JBLs of this vintage with the cast grill badges, there is likely to be something worthwhile behind those grills.

Height/width ratio and grilles looks like L26. Great speakers when fixed up.

I'll chirp in and affirm they look like L-26. The grilles only came in a few colors, and that brown in the photo was one of them.

Well worth pursuing, all things being equal.
