What the #$^#^#$%$%?

While I would give my right arm for a Sansui AU-X1111 Mos Vintage, I won't give it to this seller. I have gotten incredibly evasive and unhelpful responses when I've asked questions. Terrible feedback rating, poor photos, utter lack of specifics on the units in question. Definitely stay away!

We have had,on a previous thread about this dude,a chap come forward to say that he had bought from him.The component was shipped to him from Japan.

Thus it is clear, that he has a connection in the Japan. The connection has access to a supply of second-hand high quality hi-fi gear.He does not rip-off his connection. He is incredibly contemptuous of his clientele.Witness his reaction in a reply e-mail to a Sansui enthusiast who had the temerity to expect that the component works as described.(The original post is in one of the links I posted earlier):

"Well, I just emailed him a little while ago (via Ask Seller a Question on Ebay) and I got a response back from (him)? Email name in my Inbox was Geiger Muller ?? Here is what he wrote to me:

You are a funny man, but not too smart. You posted the bullshit comments on the tunnerfan website.... I love Sansui units as much as you do if not more. But I realized last summer that most Sansui units are pushing 25, 30 years old. That is why I sold off all my collection. You are hanging on to 30 year old piece that will of course give you problem because of their age, not because people tamper with them. THINK MY MAN. Now I collect Accuphase my oldest piece is only 5 years old. and they are better quality than Sansui. Here is a word of advice from one sansui lover to another. LET GO OF YOUR SANSUI UNITS. I can help you built an accuphase collection. WISE UP!!!

PS IT DOES NOT MATTER WHO YOU GET YOUR SANSUI FROM, IT WILL GIVE YOU PROBLEMS BECAUSE OF THEIR AGES....WHEN YOU UNDERSTAND THAT, CONTACT ME

No one is going to buy that tuner from you for $2500. You have a very bad reputation for ripping people off- I know, I was one of them with the messed up Au-X1's I bought from you. Changing your Ebay name wont do you any good. When will you be home? I want to come over your house on XXXX* St with both AU-X1's and give them back to you and you will give me my $950 back in cash."

He is in business. His business is selling to US Hi-Fi fans.He is less than forthcoming about the nature of the items he is selling,he recycles product photos and descriptions, thus his presentation may or may not be in any way representative of the actual item that you will receive.

I love the actual gear that this guy can locate(or access via his connection).I wonder why he simply doesn't get more selective and simply do the right thing? He'd be the equivalent of HiFiDo in the US.Instead he seems intent on switching IDs and preferring the shady less than honest way.

Watch for the style of photo. It's the most dependable indicator of the misrepresentation scam,so far.

I've read a few posts

................about this guy. One of the links in this thread goes back to '03.
Has he really been at the E-bay scam thing for 8 years ? With all the requests for in person transactions, you'd think someone would have kicked his ass or worse ( better) by now.
Or maybe he'd have been arrested....:scratch2:

Forget arrested. He's too small to interest anyone in a fraud prosecution. Though a "$200,000" deal gone bad might change that....

I remember talk of mcsolaar2002 and that's who I immediately think of when I see these auctions.

Oh,in case you missed it,he has no items listed for sale under the ID aqua_bleu_one.

Keep your eyes out for a new ID.......:sigh:

I decided to look at the US site, and there he was just as usual......

The sky is falling... :nono:

To keep track of his changing identity, I think if you save his ID to your Saved Seller list, you will be able to keep track of any future name changes. You can also add a description to the ID for your own reference. This obviously doesn't help if he has a completely different ID setup, of course.

I did that three IDs ago..... :D

I was searching for something non-related,and I found this thread:

Sound like anyone we know? :smoke:

It's amazing how e-bay continues to let this guy operate.

This thread alone has enough links to prove he's been a shady operator for many years.

It's really too bad that those of us that recognize his MO tend to be gun-shy when anything of similar build comes up in other venues.

Threads like these for people like aqua_bleu_one do get noticed. Thus I realised that things like this post, this thread, damage his business.

If I don't post about him,I'm appealing to people to take the time to warn others. It may be the only avenue that we have. :sigh:

I haven't seen this guy on eBay for quite a while.

Let's hope that we made his tactics so obvious that the auction site booted-him. :boxing:

No affil. I think theophile has it out for this guy. If this were an ebay smash and not a user smash, the mods would have shut it down 2 pages ago. I think there is a deeper conspiracy than we can even comprehend.

There is more than enough evidence about this character. You can search the classicsansui yahoo groups for more about him. mcsolar2002 will get hits.

No, this guy has been an issue around the web for quite a few years. He's scammed a LOT of people, and always re-appears as someone else after he gets booted or banned from sites.. On this site, they don't have a problem with us pointing out this guy when he re-appears as a new persona....

I'm kinda wondering why you're upset for Theo for pointing him out? :scratch2:

Ayup???

Not upset at all. But when I post a nefarious users name, it gets removed and the thread gets shut down. Double standard ismore what I am "upset" about. I have a long list of online extortionists and scammers who have ripped me off for 10s of thousands of dollars over the past few years, If I posted that, it would be removed so fast my head would spin right off my neck.
