What was the last movie you watched?

Speaking of Christian Bale - I ran across comments of him in the Terminator movies ...
I do own T2: Judgement Day - 1991, T3: Rise of the Machines - 2003, and T4: Terminator Salvation - 2009),
I don't actually own the final 2 films - (Terminator: Genisys (T5); and Terminator: Dark Fate (T6), So I looked them up on Amazon and saw they are free to view via Paramount + which I turned on recently for ST: Strange New Worlds Season 4 ... so I may queue them up after we finish binging Star City (SE01) on Apple TV tonight.
Since T5 (2015) & T6 (2019) are available for no extra money on Paramount + - we started to watch T5: Genisys,
but it confused Emma being out of Sync - so she suggested we watch them in order. Since we'd seen the original Terminator recently,
I pulled T2: Special Edition Bluray off the shelf and we started to watch that today ... We'll finish watching tonight after dinner.

Not a movie, but the 6 episode series “The Bombing of Pan Am 103” on Netflix was very good and informative.

The ending though was very disappointing regarding the fate of the perpetrator.
I lost a friend on that flight: SSgt Dee Williams and her husband, their 1 year old baby, and the new baby still in her belly (3 months along)... They were going to her fathers funeral. Her mother was the only one left of that whole family afterward... still pisses me off 40 years later.

That's a seriously cool sub
Thanks - the whole 7.1 system is a cool collection I gathered over a number of years -
The JBL B460 18" sub, 4 UREI studio monitors (JBL coaxial driver) fronts & sides, and a pair of DCM TF600s for rear surround,
Its not a huge room - but it works well for the 2 of us.

Very cool. The DCM TW/TF are on my "must hear" list -- have always wanted to check them out but haven't had the chance.

It looks like you have it set up for a phantom center channel.

Not really. I have tried a number of speakers in that position.
Tried some DIY JBL pieces years ago when I had JBL 4341 Studio monitor as mains. Tried the Vandersteen VCC-1 center, (2008 - when I ran Vandy mains & sides),
and I've tried a DCM Time Piece (circa 2012 with DCM fronts, sides & rears).
The tonality just wasn't a good match with any of them - and thats the trick - matching the tonality across the room.
Now the UREI Studio Monitors with JBL coax drivers give us the best sound of everything I've tried so far, and they were basically unknowns when I bought them (2 pair)
I do have an 3rd pair of spare coaxial drivers but don't have room under the TV for a UREI coaxial as Center there.
So I have a contemporary JBL center speaker now - had to go look for the model #. Its a Studio 520c, affordable, its ok but nothing special ... ;)

So - back on topic (sorry).
We watched Terminator: Genisys (T5 - 2017) last night to its shaggy-dog conclusion, and started Terminator: Dark Fate (T6 - 2023) -
watched about half before Sat night bedtime for Emma. We'll finish that later today.
The current feeling is that T1, T2, and T6 are the proper films to watch - the others are a distraction and best skipped over.
I like that Linda Hamilton is back as an older Sarah Conner - aged and still a kick-butt warrior woman.
I kinda liked The Sarah Conner Chronicles (Fox TV 2012-2014) - but thats not official cannon and I don't own the DVDs any more ;(
James Cameron is following his Avatar stories and probably done with Terminator stories ...

We'll have to find something else to watch after T6 - probably Lucky on Apple TV!

Highlander (1986), wow, 40 years old now. Dark movie with some very good Queen music.
The one, the Original! Great low budget film that tells a great story - got Sean Connery & the magnificent Clancy Brown!
The TV series was pretty good too - lotsa great talent
The sequels of the 1st film were generally TERRIBLE!
I hear they want to do a remake of it ... such a shame they can't leave it be!
and of course -
... in the end, there can be ONLY ONE!

On TV- The Dink
Really just uses pickleball as a backdrop so you don’t need to play or like pickleball to enjoy the movie.

Theater - The Odyssey
Early Birthday get together with my son. Long movie but you are entertained. Like many Nolan films the last 30 minutes saves it from just being a spectacular action movie.

Watched an past Black & White: "The Outsider" (1961) on Ira Hayes, a WWII Native soldier.

A fair bit of inaccuracies on the life and death of this war hero, depicting his PTSD, and facing what it meant to being from another culture, struggling with being alienated.

Most of the production dealt with racial issues and the subsequential alcohol downfall that he tried to deal with... and failed.

Tony Curtis does a great job, in one of his first leading roles.
