Ah the Russ Andrews effect, I think as a brand they strayed too far into snake oil territory (imo) and this perception has been unfairly applied across their entire range.

Yeah I have to agree and I don’t know enough about Paul Hynes other than his power supplies seem to be well respected ( whilst he remained in business)

I bought a RigB R3 (Rigid Body for Rega) aluminum body with an AT-VM540ML cartridge attached from Collaro Audio in the UK for use on my RB330 arm on my SRM-Tech Azure acrylic turntable. Sound is astounding, better than the AT-VM740ML I had on it previously (I guess the body on the RigB fits tighter than the factory one on the 740).

Sorry no British here except most of the music played through my system. May I inquire about the speaker shown in the photos about 6 posts back made by Andyrib in post # 1,509 on Dec,1st 2024 ? The speaker is to the left of the table on a stand in first posted photo and appears to use the Peerless soft dome silk tweet.They look almost exactly like my Cizek Model 1's except for woofers being used in them. Wonder if they are some sort of a clone of a Cizek ?

They're not clones. B&W only makes 800 series (and the Nautilus) in the UK. Everything else is made in China.

They sound great. A little weak on low bass (6.5" bass drivers, what would you expect?) but mids and highs are very clean. I use a SVS 3000 Micro sub with them set to 45 Hz and it fills in the missing low bass very nicely.
