When AK members - friends - silently disappear

Something I wrote on my profile page:

Mourning involves inhabiting heartbreak. Magnifying the sense of loss deepening the sense of separation. Celebrate all of the moments of love. The moments of shared pleasure. The moments of gratitude for the presence of the individual. There will be such a mountain of them to push aside grief with recollection of the joy of their company. Celebrate what will never die and mourning will never overshadow your memories

Edwin, you are confusing Luvinvinyl with Ilikevinyl. Check the most message list - it is Steve there on position N° 3.
Oh, right, it's Steve who has been away a bit. Steve was away for quite a spell during 2025, IIRC. I contacted him via a PM, he answered, and (also IIRC) he dropped in @ this thread to say "hi" and was sorta off again. He'd been busy, that I do recall correctly, and likely is busy again.

PS,

The above is not private information, since once someone posts to a thread it becomes public AK info. I figured this needed to be said as I've been accused in the past in this very thread of violating people's privacy by revealing their last AK activity. In this case, there is nothing private about the post I've quoted above

When will folks understand that The Internet Is Not A Private Place. It never was.

I agree, Edwin, I`ve often thought of the internet to be likened a global "party line", kind of like a sophisticated technology version of shared telephone number/line in rural areas in the USA many decades ago.
Or chatting on the CB with a group of folks in the seventies when it was popular.

Too bad there is not secure spread spectrum multiple frequency burst communication technology readily available for Joe & Jane six pack`s use of the internet, if desired.
Folk`s unguarded use of all Social media sites are often the worst self privacy offenders, IMO.

That's not going to help much. Most data are lost when someone hacks into the server, not by grabbing information when it's transmitted.
Yeah, sadly you`re probably correct, now that I think about it !
The less than secure data breach storage on some servers is the real risk !
Seems like every day there`s news about some class action law suit for a sloppy site`s data breach !
