Both H lll and CW lll have improved networks than precious models which is nice but and especially so with the CW lll the use of the K701 is a definite step backwards from the CW ll which used the K601 a larger horn for the mid. Larger horns cannot only be crossed over lower than smaller horns which is a benefit but larger horns more importantly can hold control of their polar patterns (dispersion characteristics) to a low frequency and this is the single most important factor in maintaining the sonic character of instruments and voices as they move up and down their range. There is an old saying with horns which is "larger is better" and this is true and will remain so for this very reason.
Very helpful. The 3s I saw were $1500 & the 1s were $800 and another set was $900 with upgraded crossovers.

Seattle area. I was offered a set of Forte 1s with no upgrades in great condition for $800. I like those but the Forte 2s are really attractive with the bigger passive.
Quartet is almost as large as a Forte the difference being 3 inches in height. The ten inch woofer tunes lower than a Forte and the Quartet also has the Tractrix mid horn. Very nice loudspeaker. I dropped a pair of KLF20 woofers into my Quartet and the result was excellent, added some weight to lower the tuning of the passive resulting in bass to the high twenties. Best bass of any Klipsch I have had so far. They look excellent with the old risers removed and then placed up on four post stands.
