Still no contact or call-backs, one phone is deactivated, the other was "busy" for a week and now goes to an answering machine with no pick-up. Calls to his local fellow audiophile colleague go to computer after no pick-up. Nothing shows re his recent situation under his actual name on the 'net.
That's what I know.
That doesn't sound very good. Does he have any family and any way to get ahold of them? If you google his name, many times you can find "services" which will list him as living in "XYZtown" and may also list other people associated with him (usually spouse, relatives, children) which can then give you another lead on them, and if you can get their contact info (phone, email, facebook or twitter, etc) you might be able to contact them instead and possibly get an update or at least a message to him.
Used to be 411.com and others could at least get a phone and address listing but I think with identity issues, that's a bit less accessible. Course, the old paper phone book via the phone company or using a phone company directory lookup might also still work in today's internet age.
