Who's listening to FM Tonight? What tuner?

98.0 ??? Is your display off or do you need to off tune by 100KHz to get the station clearly? US stations should be odd increments, for exzmple 97.9, 98.1 etc. Now, I realize some stations fudge a little when they announce as the 'Big 98' or some such when the frequency really is say 98.1.
in romania, stations are tuned on the even numbers... ;)

I like CBC, classical 101.5 London Ontario, with my Heathkit AJ-41 sterio tuner.

KZOK 102.5 in Seattle, on the MX110. Vic the Dude is back hosting "Think Pink" (an hour of Pink Floyd every Monday), after an extended absence, & his first one since coming back just rocked. :music: Yes, I know, my MPX light is out, but look how strong the signal is, LOL, the tuning eye is pretty much completely closed. :smoke:

another night with 89.1 WEMU Ypsilanti, Michigan... a program called "Undercurrents"... I think. Such good music! Tonight I have a '78 Mac... well lit...

You know, ever since I moved to this high rise building on the 38th floor right across the river from NYC, my FM reception is so bad that I can't listen to radio anymore. Even my Onkyo T-9090 II can't pick up local stations without static. Gotta move out of this place...

I'm on the 15th floor... not N.Y.... I wish... and I laid a Magnum Dynalab ST-2 out on the balcony (horizontal) and it made a big dif.

Lovely tuner!

I used to love CBC2. In my former apartment I was able to receive it from Victoria as I was close to Puget Sound. Now I live a few more miles inland and no dice. I understand they've added more rock and play less classical. Too bad.

yeh, beauty of a tuner... listening in style... paralysing beauty... is CBC2 the one in French?

CBC One is the old AM service that is now on FM in mono

CBC Two is the stereo service

Radio-Canada is the French service

All great reasons to have a nice tuner!

What antenna are you using?

Raynald... There is some fine FM in this area... at least for me. With the CBC I get mixed up on which one is which, except for the French one. The French one is up by 104... a strong and clear station with loads of great music. I wish I could understand the French. They seem to be having a good time at the station. Thanks for the info.

Punker X... 89.9 is strong and clear, too. All kinds of music - eh?

I also pick up 89.1 WEMU and 89.3 "the station making waves" very strong and clear, most always.

Wow, that Heathkit AJ-41 really stops me in my tracks. I wonder if it would connect to a Mac SS (C27) preamp? And how it would sound.
