The old sensors came out without issue. Subaru was good about keeping the sensors protected from the elements. Because the engine is a flat 4 and turbocharged, the Cat and sensors are behind the front bumper, and out of the weather.

All it took to access was a partial removal of the plastic skid panel.

There have been some incidents over the years, nothing I couldn't extricate myself from without admission to hospital. Nightmare stuff actually but I got 'myself' out of entrapment. Let me put it this way, if one's zip is up but part of one is still outside the zip, It ain't gonna be a good day. Might still elicit a mental wince or two. That's the price one pays.

Hey, I'm thankful to providence to have enough to get caught. If you catch my drift. I know there are men who never ever, ever have to worry about 'enmeshment'. Zippers need something to catch onto.

Never quite got the thing about clean underwear. You might get hit by a bus? Gimme a break! Maybe two!! If I get hit by a bus, someone seeing my skivvies is the LAST thing I'm gonna be worried about!

Many ERs won't accept you if you have skid marks on your underwear.

Trust me, I've done MORE than my share of explaining to ER docs, and Mom!! Numerous and sundry visits for random stitches, and concussions. The alligator bite was a good one. The burn needed no alliteration.....
