Words to live by

Fred knew that stone age houses didn't have windows...that you could climb through...when the sabre-tooth cat locked you out...after your night at the drive-in movie theatre...shall I go on?
It was way easier to pound on the door and wait for Wilma. :)

My mum used to say: "Always wear clean underwear.".
My Mom was an RN on the Med/Surg floor at our hospital, and she too always commented about wearing clean underwear. I think for her though, it would be too much embarassment for her if one of us wound up in the "Treatment Room" (read today's ER) and we didn't look like we had proper hygene...tongues wag.

That said, my wife was born in Finland, and her mother said about the same thing to her, and they had no connection to the medical field.

Ask your Mom about judging a patient's health by looking at their feet. Especially, the toenail's condition.

I remember a Resident telling his Interns, "Look at the condition of the patient's feet, and it will tell you a lot about how the person's hospital stay will go."
