Vanity Gospel private press records, are the overwhelming most common genre in bad, tasteless cover art. I tried to run this through 5 auto tune boxes, set on stun backwards, I got Yoko Ono out the other end!!!

There was an era of distasteful porn inspired covers in several types of electronic music, but I’d be happy to see these dissolve from memory in the mist of time.

Personally, I much prefer the orig Righteous Brothers' version of "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" over the Hall & Oates cover.
There's just the distinct ranges, and the edgy offering that the Brothers offer that gets lost in the updated rendition. The melody just seems more reflective of what the song's all about...an emotion of lost love. And the background orchestra aids the first recording as well.
For it it's just intensity compared to bland!
Like all music, it's a bias for me.

Well, while I hated YLTLF growing up, I have to admit that now I kinda like that tune...while I mostly hate anything that played on radio by Hall and Oates!
Which is sad really, as they are both top musicians. John Oates supported guitarist Pete Huttlinger to get back on stage after his stroke, and "Daryl's House" or whatever it is speaks for itself.
