Write a Limerick

[Jody Thornton]

It appears where now things sit,
That U-Turn is having a fit.

No way will they surrender
To that newest contender ...

who turned the turntable market to Schitt

[old_tv_nut]

I have here a brief little riddle:
When with your turntable you fiddle,
What records to suggest
That are sure to be best?
The kind with the hole in the middle!

[Jody Thornton]

There were a few old threads I read,
That sadly had all gone dead,

So I gave it my most,
And added a post

And we'll see what the next guy said.

[Jody Thornton]

Those on the Nitty Gritty team,
never sound at all obscene.

'Cause where the records collect,
theres' a sign that's erect

That says, "Please Keep it Clean"

[bobsvinyl]

There once was a collector named Benoit
His record albums were his pride and joy.
He read front and back covers
Some great things he discovers
like if the LP is the real McCoy.

[Dave_1962]

As I fired up my old Pioneer
I deduced that the tunes sounded queer
Reading schematic maps
I renewed all the caps
Now improvement is perfectly clear

[harman/kardon]

My turntable built by Telefunken
Sounded a bit like a sick monkey.
Replaced Ortofon -
Installed Bang Olufson,
Er, Olufsen, now sounds telefunky.

[bobsvinyl]

One Saturday when I was bored
I picked up a used Miracord.
It came with two needles
I played me some Beatles
and thought about how well I scored.

[Dave_1962]

I purchased an old TAGMcLaren
Thus my checking account became barren
So off went the wife
Now my subsequent life
is a tale of divorce I am sharin'

[Dave_1962]

On the heels of my recent divorce
as I no longer beat a dead horse
I was asked by a friend,
"Do the means to an end
make you happy and rich?" Well of course

[Jody Thornton]

@dave - weren't you the with avatar saying "and she cooks too"?
(I was always envious of you ...lol)

[Jody Thornton]

Well I'm happy to say I'm back,
after reading a thread about FLAC

They all rant and rave
as they compared it to WAV

In the end all the matters is the DAC

[Dave_1962]

DNU
No i believe that is "just dave" with the avatar of his wife.

Ah Gotcha

[Dave_1962]

A fellow performed quite a stunt
with a football he managed to punt
The fans gasped aloud
It soared into the crowd
and hit a girl square in the knee

[Jody Thornton]

A fellow performed quite a stunt
with a football he managed to punt
The fans gasped aloud; it soared into the crowd
and assaulted a girl on the knee

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Geez Dave, that doesn't rhyme ......... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm (or does it?)
Very clever

[old_tv_nut]

I went to the county fair.
The birds and the beasts were there -
Deep fried, on a stick.
Oh, what kind to pick?
And with what beer should each of those pair?

[bobsvinyl]

Tonight we ate some barbecued chicken
I can say it was quite finger lickin'.
I yelled out "My oh my!
as I grabbed for a thigh
I was careful whose thigh I was picking.

[Dave_1962]

[old_tv_nut]

Dave issued a BUMP here today.
Could that be all he had to say?
A poke with a stick
Or with a limerick
Would be more effective, I say.
