Been thinking about baking a scone
Butter needs to be fine and cold as a stone
A simple recipe
Written on tapestry
If only I could get off of the phone

It doesn't sound to me like fun.
Myself, I could eat one or two
Leaving none at all for you
Before the third and fourth are done.

My dog is generally fine
Except for her persistent whine
There by the door
At a quarter to four
"Gotta pee" is her obvious sign.

I also whine by the back door
and it's at a quarter to four.
My wife gives me the eye
and says couldn't you try
the bathroom like you did before.

My aunt used to say she needed a wife
Her common-law brought a lot of strife
She was great with pets
Terrible in love bets
I guess you could say this is life
