Yamaha Soavo speakers, opinions?

I have recently purchased a pair of Soavo-1 speakers. The build quality is outstanding. The Soavos are not my first speakers, since 1980 'til today I owned AR-11, AR-90, B&W 802, Infinity Kappa 8i, JBL 250, Triangle Celius ES and JBL 260.
How do the Soavos sound? The highs are crisp and very detailed, the best I have heard since the days of the NS-1000). Soundstage is very good. Voices show only minimal coloration. I was a bit concerned about the bass after switching from the huge JBL's to the smaller Soavos. But bass is tight and goes rather deep. Weakness? Absolute sound level is much lower than with the JBL's, of course. Listening to Jazz the Soavos create a nice live-like atmosphere. Rock at full volume is not their strength, there is some noticeable compression (compared to the JBL). Compared to the Triangle Celius (almost identical in size and price), the Soavos are by far the better choice regarding sound and build quality. Nice speakers!
