Cool, and we determined from the ADS thread that the L620 and L730 use the same woofer. If I find a pair of L620's locally I'll eWave then and make a trip to ZilchLab for measurements. Those are they. From L730's.

Is this where I sign up to build some of these dudes? I have a pair of old Dorian cabs with marble tops that I'd like to use if possible. They are currently loaded with LE14s (new surrounds by Army), and the old potatoe masher horns. That was the original stuff, and I can't remember the crossover number, but I went through them too. What would I need to buy, or would these cabs not work.
Look back to the parts list link, and you'll find we spec'd for 4-Ohm lowpass as well as 8 and 16 Ohms.1) How does the crossover change if you use a 4ohm speaker with the 8ohm crossover.
They'll draw more current for the same SPL. Use an amp rated for 4-Ohm operation, and you should be fine.2) how will this effect the final load on the amp.
Should work.... :thmbsp:I have a pair of 4ohm Infinity Beta 8 inch woofers made for car audio that I would like to try with the E-waves.
Page 1, post 1. :yes:I'm interested in the 4 0hm lowpass version myself- where can I find that parts list? (330 posts- geez!)
330 pages, actually.I'm interested in the 4 0hm lowpass version myself- where can I find that parts list? (330 posts- geez!)
If nothing else, we are a wordy bunch here.... :tongue:Doh!! I guess I should have looked first! 4948 post must be some kinda record!
So 2226 can go high enough to use in a two way-ve?Plugging one of the ports in 4507 retunes it to ~34 Hz, as I recall.
Apply some EQ to 2226H and it will play down there; it certainly has the power-handling capacity to handle that in home use.... :thmbsp:
Definite YES.So 2226 can go high enough to use in a two way-ve?
Thanks Zilch, it even shows me how to pack it for shipment!
I would like lower low end extension than 40hz, however. I suppose I would
need a Kelvinator size box for that to happen. Maybe I'll stick with the trusty
LE14A and just try out the B&C driver for now.
