Cool, and we determined from the ADS thread that the L620 and L730 use the same woofer. If I find a pair of L620's locally I'll eWave then and make a trip to ZilchLab for measurements.

Zilch, If you don't mind can you answer a few questions for me.1) How does the crossover change if you use a 4ohm speaker with the 8ohm crossover. 2) how will this effect the final load on the amp. I have a pair of 4ohm Infinity Beta 8 inch woofers made for car audio that I would like to try with the E-waves. Thanks
Look back to the parts list link, and you'll find we spec'd for 4-Ohm lowpass as well as 8 and 16 Ohms.
They'll draw more current for the same SPL. Use an amp rated for 4-Ohm operation, and you should be fine.

While I am at it why don't I upgrade my woofer to the 2226H as well?
Is anyone else using the 2226H, and if so what are your cabinet volume and port size?

JBL's "Standard" box for 2226H is 4507, 5 cuft. tuned to 40 Hz, sold in combination as 4647A. "Search" will reveal the details.

I would like lower low end extension than 40hz, however. I suppose I would
need a Kelvinator size box for that to happen. Maybe I'll stick with the trusty
LE14A and just try out the B&C driver for now.

Hi Z, do you know anyone that has used -I will try to discribe - the double waveguide that takes a cone driver for mid or mid bass and the CD on top. It is a JBL thing...I think. I really like the looks of that thing and would like to investigate it further. Maybe that on top and a JBL 2245 under it??? Thanks in advance. Cheers.
Yes, I have the version with the 8" or 10" midrange and phase plug, and Jack is working with the same using straight 104H-1 as the mid, as I recall.
Jack's gotten further along with this than me, so send him a PM and ask for an update.
On mine, the mid was incredibly efficient in preliminary testing, and I have to set up tri-amp to work with it more.... :yes:

No, just install 2235H in the same box, Zilch plug 1 or 2 ports depending on prefferences, and you're there.
