Almost forgot one caution: it's good you're considering a 300DC, because it has its own power switch and can be powered from an ordinary outlet. Other amps, like the 250 and 240, have no power switch, and are usually powered by the switched outlet on the pre-amp. This can cause a lot of stress on the somewhat weak OEM power switch on most Marantz receivers, and I'd recommend upgrading the receiver's power switch to at least a 6 amps capacity, dual pole unit. Fortunately, they're readily available, fit perfectly, and are cheap. Check with dgwojo elsewhere on this forum. He'll set you up with what you need.
