2385 reconnect PS00 to P400 pin question

RN02 = 100 Ohms, you measured 69 Ohms out of circuit. That's a 30% tolerance.
PL says it should be a 5% tolerance, so the minimum resistance is 95 Ohms.
Might as well check RN06 = 10k and RN01 = 220k to see if they also have a problem.
 
Use Ksc2383 as a sub, if that's the problem, same pinout
To make troubleshooting and the numbers easier to understand (because the circuit runs off the -ve supply) connect your DMM black or -ve lead to the -ve supply at jn02, use that as the reference. That way all your reading will be positive.
Simple delay circuit, the ecap charges up at power on and after the delay the transistor turn on to conduct current, engage the 48v relay coil. As said rn05 drops most of the voltage from supply, to create the ~48v for the relay coil.

OK I replaced RN02 with 100ohm RN06 with 47k ( you state 10k but the chart you sent me states 47k) please correct me if i am wrong
RN01 with 220k. I replaced the 2sd667 with a 2sc667.
relay worked once then stopped
Tested with meter on dc JN02 -75dc before soft start- 83dc after
JN01 -65dc before soft start 0 after
Transistor all three legs -65dc before soft start 0 after
 
RN06: Schematic shows 10k, PL shows 47k. What was installed originally? Replace it with the same.
RN01: 220k
RN02: 100 Ohm
I don't have a datasheet on the 2SC667. Are the pins in the same order as the 2SD667 (ECB)? Are they similar in specifications?

Here is RN06 from your photo. BRN-BLK-ORG =1-0-10^3 = 10k
Put the same value in as you took out.

Pins are the same and specs were confirmed by electronics supplier, owner is an electrical engineer
I don't understand why soft start would cancel voltage supply
 
In your previous photo, RN02 doesn't look like a 100 Ohm resistor (BRN-BLK-BRN). Your photo is blurry but it looks like the first band is BLU (which is "6")?

Compare your resistors the one on the internet.
  • RN03 = Red-Red-Org = 22k
  • RN04 = Red-Red-Org = 22k
  • RN06 = Brn-Blk-Org = 10k
  • RN01 = Red-Red-Yel = 220k

I thought that you changed it to 47k?
Moved it back to 10 k, as you suggested the old one was 10 k . Either way something is cutting off the power after soft start.
I ordered one of the transistor replacements you suggested , will be here Monday. But im pretty sure the transistor is a close match .

I'm not so sure about your "electrical engineer" electronics supplier owner. I think that the only common thing is they are both NPN transistors.
If you compare the specs for a 2SD667 (original) against what he sold you, a 2SC667 (replacement), you will see a BIG difference.
On the left are the specs for the 2SD667 and on the right, the 2SC667.
  • The first thing to notice the difference in the max collector-base voltage: 120V vs 15V
  • Next, the max collector current: 1A vs 0.03A
  • Power dissipation: 900mW vs 120mW
  • DC current gain: 60-320 vs 25

Hopefully you did not damage anything else in the circuit when you installed it.

Yes, what do you want to test?
After what I read I think I need to wait for the transistors I ordered. I don't want to turn the unit on if it can cause issues. Just strange because even with the original transistor, I would get voltage at the transistor and NP01 but both would have no voltage when the soft start relay engages
