AI in audio

Not long ago, my wife sent me a YT link to an AI generated soul singer. I knew right away it was an amalgam of a couple guys from the past (Al Green and Otis (?), I've already forgotten. She thought it was great and was disappointed to find out it was fake. I'm not a fan of this use of AI.
If Otis Redding were still alive, he prolly wouldn't be a big fan of AI either. Unless he got royalty pay.

Very sad that AI is making up BS. AI is unfortunately everywhere now, even my parent's who are in their late 40's cannot determine AI from non AI and show me the weirdest AI stuff

On the Other Hand, Google Gemini is getting better at analyzing schematics. I ran an experiment by giving gemini a schematic to an amp (and the parts list), it diagnosed the (admittedly simple) problem with rotting transistors in a small Pioneer amp. I would NOT trust it though.

At least Google gives you an AI disclaimer. Many other social media posts (including on YouTube) do not. These days, there is a lot of not-so-great information, opinions, and outright lies all over the Net. You know, those crazy@ass influencers are into everything. Much of their stuff is AI-generated (and giving AI a bad name).

I would use this AI-generated information only as a starting point in any search for the correct answer. Not as the end-all word. :)

Steve, because of complaints to YT about A.I. non disclosed origin source, I have been noticing the small A.I. notation with a circle around it in the upper lefthand corner of the selected video splash page before hitting the full screen size opened centrally located play video triangle.

I became aware of this that I hadn`t noticed before as I was trying to find non A.I. created slop interesting documentaries when I noticed a video about the developing strong kickback complaining of viewers & and non A.I content creators to YT content overseers/moderators that were starting to demand the A.I. created content disclosure notation location as I indicated above.

Too bad the A.I. content advisement is not notated on the side bar video offerings on the right side of the screen to help decide to reject clicking on it to play the video, maybe hopefully that will happen as more folks complain more and more.

I maximize the screen to limit those links. I noticed that Ghostery has stopped YouTube pop-ups. I don't know if they still exist, as I have Ghostery on both search engines since 2020.

I also maximize the video of interest to play it, I`m referring to to right side scrolling before choosing to select a similar video offering choices to choose to select a video, as my DDG browser to YT ad free blocking use of a interested video without the commercial interruptions, might be the YT videos specific layout that DDG ad free browser configures.

In my case, I very rarely type in a search in the YT video subject search box, so my DDG browser YT`s page layout arrangement setup may differ from your 2 search engine/Ghostery to YT video appearance`s setup !
I refuse to view any YT videos without using DDG browser/search engine, for quite some time now, and have been happy with it`s ad free popups results so far !
