Well this chunky girl Ayala has been adopted and once she got in the door was all mushy and affectionate with her new family. She was a tough nut at first but I worked with her for a few weeks and she opened up to the point of expecting me to walk thru the door right on schedule... a minute late got me "the look" which had to be made up for with some greenies... her favorite treats. At the adoption event she sorta avoided people but didn't outright hide and got a few applications which one was approved and she went to her new forever home and is now all over them like old times.

This little guy has claimed me as mom.
I'm trying to keep the little guy alive. Found him sorta huddled down in the corner of his pen which was very unusual as he was hanging from the top and scurrying around the day before, checked his nape and found he was dehydrated so he got some 40ml of fluid and syringe fed before settling on me as his mom. I could put him back in his pen and not a moment later he was making his way back to be with me so I spent an hour scratching his little behind and ears while he purred up a storm.
A follow up check just after 2100 local found him huddled in his litter box with a diarrhea sample so now we know the reason for the dehydration, giving him the coccidia treatment and keeping a vigil as I really don't want to lose another this week.

Choco & Rain, the dysfunctional twins, are a rarity when it comes to can openers, be it tuna or wet cat food. They don't come running or pay any attention when I open a can.
They showed very little interest in tuna when I put some out a month or two ago, and they also don't really have any interest in the canned cat food I bought for them either. They'll lick around the chunks to get to the gravy because they like that. I haven't tried any other flavors, however. They're perfectly satisfied with their adult Hill's chicken dry food. They like the adult food more than the kitten food they were transitioned from a few months ago.
I was thinking about running the wet food through the blender.
On the behavior front, Rain (which it turns out, is an appropriate name) is still aquacat. She has an obsession with water. If it's in a water dish, she drags it around and plays in it, if it's in the water dish I bought that is gravity fed from a tank, she splashes it all over the floor. I estimate that perhaps 20% is actually consumed by the cats.
Choco is the nipper. She'll nip at my feet or knees when I'm on the couch, or she bites me in the ass while I'm sitting in my computer chair.
Sorry for the bad news but the little buffed one didn't make it. He was a little cold but active at 2am but gone later this morning. He's was the only survivor of the kittens that were thrown from a vehicle window.
on a somewhat related note i am wearing one of my favorite shirts that says..."i support putting animal abusers to sleep"....
This is why I have no problem damaging mean people and the reason I keep working with the rescue. Gonna play Talking Heads Psycho-Killer now.

At least the little buffy one was loved and comforted at the end, and he has you to thank for helping him to find the blue skies on the other side of the rainbow bridge. Thank you for giving your heart to this little one.
So very sorry to hear! I hope the evil bastards who threw them out have a single car accident and hit a concrete bridge abutment. In the wee hours of the morning, with no one else around. And that they suffer until morning, then get a sliver of hope when someone finds them. Then die anyway. 
It sounds like you gave him a great deal of comfort and love, and more care than he'd probably gotten in his entire short life prior to meeting you and the rescue. And it sure seems like he appreciated it! RIP, little one - you're in good company on the far side of the bridge. ARC Tech, bless you for helping these little guys - folks like you help to counterbalance the sort of scum who throws kittens from a car.

Karma will get the fool or fools whatever they are at some point or another... regardless of the outcome I'm not going to give up on the rescue any time soon. I've had some tough breaks in life with addictions and now it's all about second chances, I'm just along for the ride on that big wheel of life.
