Any cat lovers here?

Our previous "tuxedo" Sneakers was very omnivirous, liked about everything. Vet said chili was good for him and he ate it with relish; would jump almost 3' up to a potato chip held for him...

Our current (14 year?) TUX is much more...refined? Other than watermelon, not a veggie guy. Luckily, doesn't like most of my snacks either, unless highly salted

BUT...would just about kill for a Temptation-snack or a Churo...

Typical afternoon posture...until 2:00 PM...since when can cats read clocks

Fatso likes Doritos, Saltines and Cheez-It plus Krispy Kreme donuts... not to mention bacon but now that I have a 1945 vintage Frigidaire refrigerator with the pull handle I don't have to worry about him stealing a package and running off under something to eat alone.

Princess loves Dukes mayo and all three except Mattie can't get enough of that thin sliced deli meat, one slice is all it takes for an ambush.

Sumi just returned from the vet after getting the plumbing fixed, no extra litters for this one. Moment I opened the carrier she literally runs out to find Fatso, they've become inseparable.

Sumi has now become one of the big cats jumping up and eating on the counter.

Our crew is 95% trained to stay off the table and counters.

Two are trained that the bathroom counter is OK, but the kitchen is not (that was interesting).

5%, they know it's off limits, but sneak up there anyway, and know when they're busted.

I'm very easy on the restrictions, no begging for my food or darting out the door is about the limit here. They can jump on the counters or wherever, a bottle of cleaner is always nearby. Playtime is any time and each can hold their own while rough housing. Dedicates like speakers are up high however they've all taken to clawing the grills of the Magnavox when I'm not looking despite my making some cardboard cutouts to discourage this, Fatso likes to dig his into cardboard anyway so I think this encourages him.

Our two older cats never once considered jumping on a counter, and were more than content to satisfy their climbing jollies on a 6' tall cat tower......

....until......

....we adopted our third furry. He is a mischievous little rascal that loves the high places - counters, window ledges, dressers, curtain rods, book shelves, the refrigerator - and has resisted all attempts to discourage him. Unfortunately, our orange middle cat is learning bad habits from his little brother and has taken to jumping onto the kitchen counters and dining room table from time to time. Oh well, what are you gonna do :dunno:??

This guy Junior left us a week ago. I have had many pets over the years but he was the most special to me. What I would give to hold him one more time. Sorry to be a downer. I love this thread.

Very sorry for your loss. They always leave a big hole, and it's always too soon - the more you love them, the more it hurts. Keep him with you in your memories. RIP, little one.

My condolances.
