This is Luci, my little listening companion. She joined us 16 years ago as a rescue when she found our front door after being dumped in the neighborhood.

She won't climb up on the audio gear and she doesn't use the speakers for scratching posts thankfully. She will sit in front of the MC501 monoblocks as if they produce some warmth. She much prefers laying right in front of the fireplace but ya gotta do what ya gotta do, right?

But she does like music! When the music starts she plops down on my lap, right in the audio sweet spot and listens.

Here she is, giving me the "Turn On The Music" look.

My two critters. The Tux is Boots, the Tabby is Otto. First picture was late 2010, Boots is 3 years, Otto is a few months.
I still have them, their relationship is a bit more rocky these days but they get along most times, there's still a large size difference between them, and Boots is big Cat and a bit of a bully so there is some friction.

It appears you don’t think cats should be allowed out, that indoor activities satisfy their curiosity, and they are fine with staring out windows , unable to discover. Now , if one lives on a busy street, I can see the concern . I have owned many cats ( my daughter has 4 , had others previous) , if cats want to go out, they should be granted that wish. Some are fine indoors with no desire to venture . I have one like that and I’m ok with it. They take care of themselves .

Again, you post what you see in front of you. There is journalism that reports that indoor cats live longer and healthier lives. There is journalism that cats kill a lot of birds.
