AU-317 which class A A/B B?

Can't find it anywhere. Does it pull 215 watts as soon as it is turned on? Or is that the maximum power it can draw?

Class AB: idle/bias current is 15mA. The 215W spec is maximum draw.

To know what the amplifier is drawing from the mains at any time - yes you need a 'wattage thingy' for that.
