I am hoping for a drought buster before things cool off, and I might get my wish.

Rainy, windy, foggy, leaves are falling down, 16°C. It is Autumn.

Its rainy here as well. 64F here (17C!) ... time to start considering colder weather. This is when the little critters try to find an indoor place to overwinter ...
They hate moth balls and mint - so we bought moth balls last week, and I took some orphaned sock and stuffed them with mothballs today.

For the SO, Fall/Autumn is one of her fav seasons. For me, one of the worst! Plants are now dying!

My partner's tired of the heat and the humidity, I embrace these two elements.

The colourful leaves are nice to look at on the trees. On the ground...they lose their attraction and have to be picked up.


Spring and Summer rules for me. Got a feeling that I'm not alone.

Leptoglossis occidentalis came up here for the first time about ten years ago. From October on they are trying any chance to get into the house. They are harmless. But if you touch them they stink.

Totally agree! I can understand your perspective @Quadman2 For some, the allure of summer and spring may be hard to beat. But I have to respectfully disagree - autumn in France is truly magical. I had a tour through https://gowithguide.com/france during autumn this year, and the country was absolutely stunning this time of year. The vibrant foliage, the crisp air, the cozy cafes - it all comes together to create an atmosphere that's hard to match.

Appreciate your POV! Change can be good at times.

Sometimes I feel sorry for those who reside in zones wherein the heat or cold is a permanent season to deal with.

But, even those extreme weather regions, there's pros and cons.
