Best vintage speakers you ever heard?

A once in a lifetime deal you got.
One and done
Beautiful speakers!! :beerchug:

Those exact ones are not mine. I didn't have a picture handy. But it's what I have. And you are right. It was a one shot deal. Found them on eBay for 1500 bucks! maybe 15 years ago. Or some auction site. 2 of my friends were looking with me. I thought I'd lost the auction but they bought them for me. To pay them back I gave the horns and the bass drivers to them and they took them home to Australia. I refinished the cabinets and bought new horns and drivers. The cabinets my friends built are made out of Australian curly walnut. And they are I thing to behold.

They are a tad (no pun intended) on the bright side sonically. But they seem to have no limits. I have a perfect room for them, and they are fun. And this is a fun thread. I've enjoyed reading!

Dahlquest DQ 10, VMPS towers. They both left a lasting impression many years ago. My latest goal is to obtain a magnepan Mini-Maggy system.
