I need help with my BIC 1000 turntable. The motor that turns the platter is studdering as it spins. It wants to spin freely but wouldn’t. Is It a adjustment that I can make. Any help will be appreciated.

Sorry for the late reply but doe the motor do that with no power? If so, You may need to take the motor apart and clean it really good and lube it with better grease and then try it again. Also did this table ever work properly?

Hmm, sorry, I missed this, too. Did the motor control board get out of adjustment? Also, when you turn the motor pulley by hand, you will feel small "catches" as you turn it. It doesn't turn completely freely. You are feeling the pole pieces attracting the rotor as it turns. it shouldn't be hard to turn, however.
