Biggest of the monster receivers ...1 piece

Does anyone out there have a list of the 10 biggest or heaviest single piece receivers made before 1980 ?

I'll start with this one ... Sansui QRX 9001 (quad)

- 52 pounds
- 24" x 15½ x 7 inches high
- circa late '70's

I have no doubt the Pioneer SX-1250 and 1980 will appear on such a list.

I saw an eBay listing for the 1980 and the seller said he would send the 2 pcs in separate boxes

That Rotel RX-1603 comes apart but is useless in two pieces so it may count.

If an sx-1980 is shipping in 2 boxes that is not a good thing.

I will throw in the Hitachi SR-2004. A bit shy of 60 lbs. 200W true and Class G to ~400W RMS.

Undisputed winner of the reciever wars!Sansui g33000 was over 100 lbs but techinally was a 2 piecer.I believe this would of been 2nd in the reciever wars possibly.

Google up a pic of the 1980. Just a big receiver. I don't know why the two boxes, maybe they removed the dial glass to keep it from getting broken.
