I know what the biggest receivers are but I cant find a list of the biggest solid state integrated amps.

Anyone know ?

It won't be the heaviest but at 21kg, the Yamaha CA-2010 was a "mutha" to move around during refurbishment

Sansui AU-α907XR = 33Kg (72.75 Ibs) and Sansui AU-α907Limited = 34Kg (74.95 Ibs) - for their physical size they are astonishingly heavy.

Those are the heaviest I am personally aware of. :)

The Pass Labs INT-250 weighs in at 105 pounds.
Cool!
I've always wanted to hear the higher pass stuff.
At this point unwilling to pony up the price of admission .
Having owned amps (not integrateds) over 100lbs, and knowing I'm not getting any younger , those have less appeal to me now

The INT-60 is only 93 pounds. I'm a class A man myself and somebody will be prying my modified F5 out of my cold dead hands.

I've been eyeing building an F5 or an F5 turbo for some time. It's in the back burner of my someday lists.
I'm pretty sure I have a set of matched output transistors buried on my desk somewhere.
To build it nice gets into the close to a G area. I really want to sell off some stuff before/if it ever gets off the ground

I would say mac also would be right up there at the max weight. I say max weight because just like most audio gear they start wanting to breaking up components if it's heading into 100-125+ lbs.

It doesn't make sense if they want 600 watts to make in a integrate amp, when they can take the preamp out and lessen the weight of that one box 30+lbs. And really splitting up a big 600watt stereo power amps into two mono blocks is better also. A good 600 watt stereo power amp might weight 130 lbs with one power supply, but two 600 watt mono blocks with their own power supply might weight 95 lbs each.

Yamaha RZ-Z11 weighs in at 34 kg (75 pounds).

Edit: Actually, they've included the tuner so this is now a receiver..., never mind!

My F5 took about a grand to build. It's worth every cent though. If I'd had more cash I'd have gone with a 5U chassis so I could jam more bias current through it. I'd say 1.3 amp is the least you want, but with a 5U chassis you should be able to hit 1.55 amp with 32V rails pretty easily.

It's a VERY nice amp. I'd say it's the best I ever heard.

Good to know:thumbsup:

Someday:rolleyes:

Yup, if you can't hit 100 Pounds just go home. The McIntosh MA9000 is 101 and gets into the thread. The Pass Labs is still a bit more.
