Maytag is not the only one. If my cell phone was anywhere near my TV when it sync'd up or received an incoming call, it would turn off the TV and reset it to factory defaults.

Switch-mode power supplies are really susceptible to wonky operation because of RF emissions from cell phones.

And regular radio and CB and all that other stuff won't cause the same problems as cell phones? They do, we are just use to it and plan for it now. I remember being able to hear my neighbors phone on the baby monitor.

I do not have/own a personal cellphone but sometimes it's the condition of employment. Very good employment for where I choose to live, so I deal with it.

I own a personal cellphone and also use it for work. That way I can take and make personal calls and nobody can say boo. Having unlimited local calling makes it easy on me and a good deal for my employer.

Don't drivew through an intersection with a traffic light.

I drive truck and you almost can't hear yourself think the static on the CB is so loud going through any traffic light. They signal starts about a trucl lenght away from the crosswalk and extends as far the other way.

I can also hear welders on it.
