The Voodoo You Do!
According to my local CE dealer, a plain Emotion has the advantage of being upgradable to the Emotion SE, at each own's pace and budget (basically, it needs a bit more than 1000 $ in parts replacements, including the platter). For this reason I've chosen the Emotion over the Concept, as my intention is to arrive to the SE perhaps next year or so. At the time in which I bought the Emotion , the dealer basically had both the Emotion and the Concept at the same price.
It looks like you would also have to replace the arm or you would still come up shy of the SE. For a grand more than I paid for the Concept I could land on the Performance.
