I don't watch TV, nor listen to the radio anymore.
There's nothing on either that attracts me.
I even quit listening to spotify because of their damn ads, and I'm not paying for their streaming service.
But ads must work, otherwise they wouldn't be everywhere.
But I really can't think of anything I ever bought because I saw or heard a commercial.
On the same note, I've never bought anything because someone cold called me on the phone.
When I finally kicked DTV out of the house it was mostly because the programming and the commercials seemed to be catering to people with the mentality of a six year old.

= Yes ! My perception/experience, as well, bbqjoe, Sir. !!All the Liberty Mutual commercials!
The vaginal mesh lawsuit ones are hard to stomach as well.
Granted, Tim, I haven`t watched any outside TV in over a decade, but what in the world is Vaginal mesh, that you`re referring to^^^ ?
If not too disturbing for you, could you care to enlighten me ?
Thanks.

Oddly enough, my maw in law is dealing with this right now. Had that done to help her with incontinence and prolapse. Horrible.
Yes, Tim, Mr. Dave`s link enlightened me.
I wonder if my caregiver/house keeper had mentioned this to me some time back, and it didn`t sink in.
She usually stays on top of things, and advises me of anything she thinks I might be interested, or affected by.
I`ll bring it up when she arrives today, to see what she has to say about it.

...I can't stand the same old Buick commercials they've been running for a number of years now. The music in the background drives me crazy.
Hoo boy, Bill, I sure hope you aren't affected by a trans-vaginal mesh, my friend.![]()

How 'bout those locally produced shouters that sound like they are crapping a cinder block reading the copy.
During my radio days, we called that "puking into the microphone". Think car dealers, state fair ads, and tractor pulls.
