Coronavirus Is Evolving

Well I can tell you from a husband that has a wife that works for a local hospital in Greenville SC and is in charge of central processing that cleans all the instruments for all the cases, she tried to take a day off from the grind today but her phone has been non stop all day! Maybe soon she can get a little time to just sleep late after all this is over.

I finally figured it out- 50% of the people are below average intelligence. Where's Garrison Keillor when you need him?
George had it figured out before you. 1.jpeg

The county here in good ol' Idaho that is now in trouble with a shortage of hospital beds, actually held a series of anti-mask rallies a few months ago.
Gee I wonder if there's a connection
I have a friend that wasn't taking Covid seriously. There was a karaoke bar he just couldn't keep away from. He and his circle of friends there all caught it. His case wasn't serious but he's still recovering. Another in the group is hospitalized and is on oxygen. I wear a mask outside (unless I'm far away from other people) just so I don't have to go through put it on/ take it off/ put it on. I'm also saving for a really nice vacation once we get a handle on this thing. The longer I have to wait the nicer the vacation :p

Crossing 2 different threads here..
Viruses evolve, but humanity continues to evolve also.. we are not doomed by this, we just have to learn and adapt..
If you are infected, stay home.. if you fear you may become infected, stay home..
If you think wearing a mask is protecting you, read and learn.. and stay home..

Yeah, but intelligence is not linear. It's distributed according to a bell curve. That means that 80% of the population have about the same intelligence (average), while 10% are noticeably smarter and 10% are noticeably less intelligent.
I know, it's a bell curve. I think people are missing my point.

ConradH said "50% of the people are below average intelligence"
NH-MAN said "Because they do not agree with you?"
I said, "It has to do with IQ distribution."

In other words, half the people aren't below average because they don't agree with him, it's just statistics.

Spanish Flu should provide guidance on what may happen with Covid. SF had an initial spike and a second spike just like C19. SF disappeared after year two presumably having mutated into something less virulent. Back then, doctors did everything wrong to treat SF patients and yet SF receded and disappeared. If history is any guide, we are in for another year of C19 and hopefully it will mutate away. The creation of vaccines will have a dramatic effect and has the potential to end the pandemic regardless of whether C19 mutates. Overall, I would say humanity has done quite well. We will move past this and recover.

Still has zero to do with intelligence. I know plenty of intelligent people that are idiots. :)

Same goes for educated people.
Being schooled is not being educated though one does not necessarily exclude the other. I.Q. tests, what they measure, have nothing to say about conscientiousness and common sense. Conscientiousness and common sense (as opposed to 'idiots') is/are not represented by I. Q. tests. That's why one can be very 'intelligent' and be completely lacking in common sense though, keeping it separate from common sense, conscientiousness can intelligently follow an idiotic script.

A couple weeks in Negril and Ocho Rios are in our plans. (grin)

Still can't figure out the whole 'metrics' thing. :deal:

10-13% thresholds for kids to go back to school,...can't wrap my head around it and rolling dice all the time.

2019 in the US saw a total of 2.84 million deaths(all causes).
extrapolated out to a possible 3.1 million by the end of 2020(.0091463416)
