Try to balance the tonearm and blow lightly on it from the side. it should smoothly move. If this does not happen, then you need to look at the rotary assembly of the tonearm. Maybe the bearing is tight. Or you just need to flush the bearing. Or vice versa, there is a backlash. Although, perhaps, the wires of the tonearm are tangled. Without a detailed inspection of the assembly, and further disassembly of it, it is difficult to say for sure something.

If you can hear a pop every ~2 seconds then something is binding up the tonearm causing the stylus to pop back a groove every rotation. If that's not happening are you certain the stylus is making contact on the record? There's a black plastic knurled nut on the rear left of the tonearm assembly that adjusts the cue piston movement range. It could potentially be adjusted too high keeping the piston in too tall a position and preventing the tonearm from fully dropping onto the record.

1219 that wont track is 9/10 the sp/mp broken dearing ring condition resulting from forcing the switch when frozen from old grease. I restore 1219 and 1229 regularly. Before attempting to move the switch, i flush with isopropyl alcohol and then add a little oil for lube. I have never had a broken dearing ring using this process.

Rarely it will be a anything else. Will the tone arm track the record if dropped on the second cut?

Sad. Don’t work on these. Stay away from arms and cues. Small parts and large arthritic hands don’t mix. My first 1219 pictured is stuck in single. Don’t stack records. Left alone. Everything else is fine. Tuned it up 8 yrs ago. My early one works 1219 #2. Fixed it’s broken arm. Have a third 1219 that’s broken. It’s arm is stuck in multi. Put a rubber mat on it to raise record up. Other than that it works. It’s not hurting my records and leaving well enough alone.. Won’t sell it. Never seen much of a warp on Duals. My BSR 810 has a warp. Doesn’t seam to effect performance. To the OP, if yours sounds fine leave well enough alone. Even with my bad arm, this 1219 tracks at 1 1/2 grams with Shure M91ED and my new JICO M44. Very pleased with both.

Hmm. Single/Multi lever seems to work fine. Does not bind and assembly moves up and down. Tonearm seems to bind in single mode but is freely swinging in multi mode.

Two ideas. Follow the levers coming off the arm underneath. Set in single and move the arm to possibly see where it is binding. Maybe dry grease somewhere? Hopefully. Second look under the arm view from the bottom for broken parts. Good luck,

Pimple too close to (adjustable) control arm. Adjustment of aluminum plate's positioner is off.
Outer gimble position is off in that it needs to be rotated a bit.

Thanks for eveyones help. Seems to be working like a champ. Single play works great, had some troubles with getting albums to drop and continue to play. Ended up dropping and playing 4 albums with no issues. Calling it a night.

Seems my optimizism was short lived. To recap:
-Multiplay mode with one record works - Auto start, drop, play and return. ( i do notice when approaching the end of the record the tonearm will move toward the label, track back outward before record begins lift and return cycle)
-Single play- auto start, drop then pops/skips every few seconds as described above.

Single/multi lever functions as required - arm assembly moves as required.

You do not understand. The bearing is not adjustable. Platter is warped.

Needs to be removed first and this requires some disassembly.
Poster is barking up the wrong tree. He cannot change the wobble.
