the situation is such that the problem is in the automatic part. so you need to take it apart. It's impossible to say exactly what's broken.

So, should i just start another thread? Prevoius discussion were the platter was not of any concern. I let that go. Concerning the tonearm, there was. A response to flush and adjust the bearing- i assumed that was in regards to the tone arm problem.

I'm pretty frustrated, took it to someone local that supposedly works on these- did a few lubrications, made a few adjustments, told me the multiplay spindle was bad. Ordered a new spindle,multi drop still does not work, seesm to be no better than where i started.

NoTransistors- do you repair/restore? Im about done tinkering with this thing....

make a video of the problem. and about the bearings of the tonearm, then flushing and subsequent adjustment is only a plus. but apparently the problem is not in the tonearm, but in the automatic mechanism

The arm binding is not a bearing issue.
