Fisher X-202 Serial Number Help?

Where Fisher serial numbers alpha-numeric or nubers only?

I have a Fisher X-202 with a either a six digit serial number ending in a '3' or a 'B'.

Most Fisher serial numbers are 5 digits followed by a letter. I have a theory that the letter indicates the month of production. (Which will be disproven as soon as someone finds a Fisher serial number ending in an letter subsequent to "L" which should be December.)

I know it's an old thread, but...I see a "9" as the sixth digit. Maybe someone with better eyes can correct me.

I'm going with 8 or B.

I assume if it were a 9, it would resemble the 6, (reversed, of course), and the curves are very different from the 6.

And, there's a little downward tail at the left end of the crossbar that could only be part of an 8 or an uppercase B.

The curve at the top left is not smooth, but appears to have a slight corner, which would make me lean towards B.

I have a X202B, will look at the numbers in the morning and see what mine says..will post and hope that helps

Mine is 57415H, beside the phono tubes. What is interestiing and I cannot show in pictures is that slightly offset, in white, there is duplicate stencilling. Very odd.

It's a "B". Like Red stated above, FISHER Serials are 5 numerals and 1 letter.

Red; I've noticed that most of the serials I've seen, both Fisher and others, don't use the letter "I". Looks too much like the numeral 1 on the stencil or marking machine. So skipping from "H" to "J" (H being August and "J" being September) K, L, and M would denote October, November, and December.
