Gas Prices

Right now, we have Mobil Regular at $3.49/gallon, most unbranded gas is the same, though I found one at $3.36/gallon for regular.

By the main highway through here, Mobil is $3.59/gallon, of course.

All these prices are within 1-2 miles of my home in central MA.

I should add, we have one large Tesla charging station about 3 miles from our home and one little two bay (universal?) charging station about two miles from our home. Kinda piss poor for a city of 42,000 eh?
Within a quarter mile radius there is one home with a Tesla and one with a new Mustang, both have what look like pretty heavy chargers attached to their houses.

Since this is an very old thread and a lot here have seen the same thing. Cheap gas people buy big vehicles then lament the the price of gas when it goes up then want an economy car whiplashing back and forth. Back when gas hit .69 cents I was so pissed I bought a 75 VW Rabbit. That started my love for hatch back cars. It didn't matter what price gas was there most always was a economy car in the stable. Even the sports cars owned got decent over 30mpg. Heck the gas only SUV I have now can get 40 on the interstate. It's nice not to have to fill a gas guzzler no matter the price.

$3.39 9/10 tenths of a cent per gallon in Virginia Beach. Subtract state and federal taxes and the actual price of a gallon of gas is about $2.90.

Still amazed at what the SOs Taos gets when I drive it on my 57-mile one-way commute, It does a little better than my Roadking that is my normal daily driver.

I am getting a break at $4.9X a gallon now. I am lucky in one way commute is about 5 miles. I can use a cheap (when available) all electric car since I have solar.

I remember 25 cents.
1970 I needed gas 4 my go-cart.
I would have to ride my bike 1 mile to town to Texico and back.
So instead I road down the road the other direction about 1/10 mile where I knew my friends dad had a 50 gal tank for his business..I ask my friend Danny if I go get some gas. He said no.so I offered him 35 cents a gallon and he went for and gave a me bottle of coke also..I was in high heaven

1976/77 (in junior high), I was making minimum wage(?) as a grill cook at a Dairy Queen: $1.25 per hour x 40 hours. Took home $40.00. I don’t remember gas prices but I do remember regularly putting $.50 worth of gas in the car to be able to get to work and back. And a movie ticket was $.75.
