I was high bidder on an electronics item on shopgoodwill. I had high bid for an hour and in the last minute I was beat out with no time to respond. Oh well. Any one else been sniped?

I see people bid on things with like 4 days left on it. I think thats crazy. I always bid with less than 30 seconds left. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't

...I don't run a sniping program, just toss my high bid in as late as I can. So far I've lost three to snipers.
Highest bid wins, every time.
.....
What I find vindictive is when you enter a big bid hours early, and some other bidder keeps on upping it (like 20 bids) then finally outbids you and/or just stops below your max bid :thmbsp:
DOBIEGUY;8943534 Here's another mistake. Your "gotta have" is listed with an attractive BIN/Best offer. You offer twenty percent less. Maybe that is ten dollars. While your waiting for an answer said:This is so true.
Over the weekend there was a newly listed WOODEN astronomical tripod I was wanting and it was listed BIN fairly cheap but had a make offer listed also.
I shot them an offer of about a 10% discount.
After a whole day of worrying about it - I pulled the trigger on the BIN price.
Normally on making an offer, if the seller agrees it happens fairly quickly.
I'm glad I went ahead and bought it because it looks great and is sitting in my spare bedroom right now = ).
'' So far I've lost three to snipers''
NO - you haven't
somebody was prepared to enter a higher bid than your maximum
