They look like "house" speakers, that is, speakers manufactured to be sold by a particular audio store or chain. Not necessarily bad, but difficult to get a lot of info on many of them, since most of those chains went out of business pre-internet.

They look a lot like some GTE/Sylvania cabinets I had a few years ago. They seem to have decent components. Have you removed any of the drivers to look for serial numbers on the magnets?

I am still digging around on the interweb with no luck. they may find a home in my workshop.

The tweets are one and the same as in my Marantz Imperial 7. Could they be early Marantz?
you are right about the tweets but I can't find a Marantz styled like these. the woofer ID starts with 201. coming up blank on that also.

I cleaned up the midrange and tweet pots last night and everything works fine. really nice bass response. my woodworking shop is a little over 700 sq.ft so they may have a permanent home.

Pull the woofers, and check for stamp marks... also check the back side of the controls, may have some info...

Good Luck, and Kind Regards,
John
