Someone asked the same thing on reddit two days ago, he has now deleted his account for some reason.

Hmmm. In that case, this girl gave me her phone number last night. Do you think I should call her back?

I hope he picked them up... the OP seems to have a background on AK, dose not look like the same person from the other thread...

Either way, this thread had me on the edge of my seat... Damn, I really hope the OP gets them, that would be amazing, talk about a great find!

The anticipation is killing me... I cant take the stress... I need to see some pictures! LOL

:)

I would have snagged them based on the design alone. I love the design and they are actually really nice In person.

I'm confused, OP said they were 'at a thrift' and the Reddit post says it was a Goodwill auction. I suppose the two aren't mutually exclusive. Maybe the OP didn't want to give away the fact that it was an auction so we wouldn't all get online and bid them up. This is a good example of why you should not say where an item is or how you found it if you think it might be worth something. Or even if you don't. "I came across these" is a bit safer.

In any case, the suspense continues. :gigglemad

Sorry for all the suspense. Yes it was an auction...and yes I selfishly played it close to the vest. But they now are sitting in my living room. I'll post some pics tomorrow. From what I can tell I will need to refoam the woofers and one crossover is bad(I''m sure I'll be looking for some guidance with this).
They are beautiful!
Too cool! Thanks for all the info everyone.

Congrats! You have some rare and beautiful JBL history. Can't wait to see the pics.
