Hop in my Chrysler, it's as big as a whale

Those look frighteningly close to some old Corals and Pioneers I still have buried somewhere. Mine don't flap your pants and are sort of "pre-imaging" but really hit their stride with classical & symphony.

Picked up these big honkin' Chrysler CE-509's today. Haven't tried them out yet. Made in Japan, 60's I think. Anybody familiar with them?

dman that’s a rare find! Have you opened them up yet? You find some serious audiophile grade speakers there. I’m still working on a set. I’m in need of some tweeters.

really high quality inductors, the drivers should all be Alnico as well.

Super cool find!

Not a bad sounding pair of speakers. I popped them open and tightened down all the nuts that 50 years had seemed to loosen up. Turns out they have Yamaha 15" woofers, pair of Trio tweeters and a Coral horn, probably a "super" tweeter, I'll put the Chrysler label back on it. Not sure who made the pair of mids, the only markings I can find on them is "IBO" and "JKH".
