Magnet structure on woofers is a different that what I've seen before.

Same woofer, just different brand on them. Wonder who actually made them.

B-52's reference, I like it! nothing to add to this thread but I will say one of the best concerts I ever saw and I saw a LOT was the B-52's tear up an old gymnasium at Boston College. They rocked the shite out of that place it was a very memorable, sweaty evening.

Wild Planet was/is a great album!

Back to speakers, those look really nice here's hoping they sound good too.

I've heard of Chrysler speakers but have never had the chance to come across any.Makes one wonder if the name was just happenstance or had any connection to the auto manufacturer. Hope they sound good.Keep us posted.

Been doing some reading about them. Related to Pioneers of that era.

Another speaker from that era was Fukuin which I believe was a predecessor to Pioneer speakers, same era too and nice speakers.

I like that these are 16 ohm, they might play well with a tube amp.

Grill cloth came in today's mail. Pretty straightforward job. Staple in place, reinstall the trim and mount the front panel to the box. I did not use the original screws. They are pita common head. I used Torx, much easier. Just waiting on the new caps.
I also weighed them, close to 80 pounds apiece.

Didn't do much to the veneer. Used a Minwax stain marker in a couple spots and wiped them down with Howard Feed-N-Wax. Good enough.

Capacitors replaced and all put back together. Giving them a listen. Quite a nice sounding speaker. Not nearly as efficient as my Audio Nirvana's. Would probably need a bit more power than my 8 watts per channel to do them justice.
Fun project to play with for a few days, other than moving the 80 pound beasts around. I'll most likely pass them along.
