imral3's system progression - aka - new house, new listening room

Replacing the two Pioneer 8" SW-8MK2 and one Sony 12" SA-WM40 with three Dayton Audio 12" SUB-1200 subwoofers.
First sub currently in place.
Second sub in a holding pattern at local UPS distribution center.
Third sub on order waiting shipping by PE.
Soon it'll all come together I keep telling myself.

Alrighty then, all three subs up and running now. Mains setup using Paul McGowan's book, "Audiophile's Guide: The Stereo", and the companion setup CD. Subs crudely set up using a SPL meter app on phone and following Geddes multiple sub setups. Still so much more reading to do on the subject in audio forums, et al. After that I will dive into REW and actual room measurements with UMIK-1, as soon as I can get my hands on a laptop. Lol!

I hate to say it but, the Topping E30 has been pulled out, and the Schiit Audio Modi 3 put back in. The Topping has literally been hurting my ears for the last two days.
Enjoy the musics!!

Minor arranging of boxes:

This after chasing down and eliminating some pesky static with the FX in the chain. All is good now.

I see that you too are using high fidelity tape to cover up the Schiit led of death. Like Sauron’s lidless eye - it is always searching.
Yes, at one point it was in my headphone setup right next to my bed and it lit up the entire room at night. Now, it looks like a red light, in my dimly lit listening room, and fits right in with all the other red light boxes. Maybe I should call it Rudolph!?!

Added a Nobsound PGA2310 for remote volume control:

Can't have too many volume controls, right?!?

Currently running four subwoofers, one in each corner. Once the Dayton Audio SUB-1200 is back in stock at PE, I will replace the mismatch Sony. It's in one of the back corners but, my OCD knows it's there. Gah! Bass is really sounding good, even, smooth. All four are crudely level matched with each other using a db meter on phone. All four subs together are at about a 6 or 7db boost above main speakers using a 65hz tone.
As usual, more listening and evaluating to do.

Thanks for following along and enjoy the musics!!

edit: subs crossed over at 75hz, mains run full range.

Pulled the FX Audio Tube-01 out again. It doesn't play well with the rest of my stuffs. Also changed speaker cables. Made short (6ft), bi-wire cables, using Monoprice 18 gauge OFC, terminated with Sewell Deadbolt bananas.

Thanks for following along in my system diary. Lol.

Enjoy the musics!!

The completion of my completeness has been completely completed. Just received, unboxed, hooked up and calibrated my fourth Dayton Audio SUB-1200 subwoofer. No more substitution subwoofer.
Enjoy the musics!!
