imral3's system progression - aka - new house, new listening room

Yes. Using REW I measured each sub individually. Imported that into MSO to correct the summed response, with individual delay, gain and PEQs for each sub.

Used REW room simulator and decided to move mains. Front baffle now 55" from front wall (was about 70") and tweeter 37" from sidewall (was about 33").
Hoping this helps smooth out the 96hz spike and the 150ish hertz dip.
Won't be able to measure the room until Monday... fingers crossed.

More measuring, fiddling and tweaking today.
First up, measurements of speakers only 50-20k:

Next is speakers and subs measured from 20-20k:

It is sounding really, really good.

As part of the MSO processing it would advise any phase reversal if needed.
True but some get discourage by using using it. I prefer variable for flexibility.
If you have the sub behind you, keep in mind the source of sound is coming at a different time from the listening position and it is pretty hard to capture subsonic waves.

Good point. However, MSO assigns different gain levels and delays to each sub in order to achieve the flattest response possible at the listening position.

More time spent with REWMSODSP! Lol!

Got better extension down below 30hz but, still chasing flatness.

Didn't like yesterday's results. Ran sub measurements through MSO again last night to make sure I did things correctly and again, didn't like it. So, I'm back close to where I was the other day.

I *might* stick with this for a little while.
