Infinity series hierarchy

Where does the "RS" (RS 4001) series falls in the hierachy among the infinity models ?

Would the equivalent 3 way with 8 inch woofers in the kappa range be better than the RS 4001 ?

Rs 4001 lacks an emit or emit r tweeter. I would go with the Kappa 5,6,5.1 or 6.1 for that sized speaker. Or even the older rs speakers. Check em all out on this famous AKers website: http://www.infinity-classics.de/models/index-models.htm
I never heard the Rs4001 but some of the others with that same tweeter and though they are pretty good they aren't in the same League. I little pair of rs 2000 sounded pretty darn good with that tweeter (poly cell) and I've been looking for a pair to hang in the garage for a while now.

I'll second that for the Rs 2000's. WOW. Just wow from a little pair of bookshelfs.
They can more than hold their own with a lot bigger and "fancier" name models.
I had my pair thrown in w/ the purchase of a pair of SS2005 3 way's. I almost threw them out, and decided what the heck, for 12 bucks I'll refoam them and give a listen. WOW, again.
