Luxman “Suckface” setup

Couldn’t pass up a functioning “Suckface” setup with original remote and remote cables. Lx-104 amp, Tx-101 tuner, kX-100 tape deck. Now paired with a set of Ohm 3xO’s

I agree....the sound was better than expected with my favorite....a loudness knob rather than a switch.

Well I think internally those receivers have a similar design to the m02 amps

When I compared my LX-104 to my M-02, there wasn't much difference in sound.

The plate around the knobs is motor controlled. When the gear is off the plate is forward and even with the face of the knobs. When turned on the plate is sucked back so that the knobs are accessible. It's one of those frivolous but cool looking features. Prone to failure though.

I would have loved that back in the day when I smoked pot. I would have worn out the mechanism in no time.

Ha yeah honestly it's the weird flashy stuff like that I find lacking in modern gear. Stuff like suck faces and vu meters were pretty much there more for show than practicality.
