Now in the ADS 910 club

May be best to create a new thread in Bartertown. but those that do not have membership could always PM you from this. That's what I will do with the stands.

Can't wait to see the prototype sitting next to your original! Once all is good, put me down for a pair.
Glenn

Ok, slight hiccup. So the endmill is going to be a .016 radius. The 9 on the 910 is quite a bit smaller. I've attached the proof that shows the larger radius. I don't want to have him make these unless you guys are OK with a slight variation. I am verifying what the smallest endmill he can use is, but he'd mentioned that the radius I need is about the size of the thickness of 2 pieces of paper. Essentially impossible with what he is using.

I think this is ok, once on the speaker, will not be too noticeable I think, but let the troops comment.

I feel like, if you're not looking at them back to back, you're probably not really even going to notice. They are pretty small, anyway.

I've been looking for 910 for 2 years, haven't found the right pair yet! I did however just find a pair of 810's ( now hooked up in my main rig). Is that close enough to join the club?????

Sure! Be sure to start a new thread when you start doing things to them if at all so it is easily found.

Hijacked!! It's OK. This thread is burning out, anyway. Looks like I am going to get a badge in the next week or so. I'll have him send me the pics of the CNC'd one when he is done.

Side note, and I don't know if I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but I grew up with these 910s. My dad screwed everything up for me my entire life having all this high end stuff, because we listened to music quite a bit growing up! No subwoofer ever sounded good enough to me. We would listen to marching music on these things, so they always replicated the bass drums well. The bass was always so fantastic. I remember going out looking for new speakers and a sub with my dad after he had given up on the equipment I now have. We must have listened to 15 different subs at various places. I don't know what the brand is that he got (my brother has it) but I remember how much he spent on it. $2300. I was amazed, and it STILL didn't sound like these 910s.

The bass from subs is different to my ears. The 910's bass is so deep and clean, you feel the punch in your chest! Just amazing speakers, which I've reiterated numerous times in my thread.

Can't wait to see the first badge!

Steelsnow, I am still interested in badges.

Thanks, George
Ok, good. I requested him to get a smaller endmill, so we'll see what happens. One way or another he will make me one and I'll get a picture of it on here when I do. Only other thing I have been thinking about is paint. Any opinions on what paint I get? Probably a satin finish? Any particular brand? I have some satin spray paint I used on the McIntosh equipment that looks really good. I had to clean some rust up on them.
