Pluto is no longer a planet

Well, you know, scientists are the ones who told us about planets.
Yes, I agree. And I meant no disrespect to most scientists.

But it was the caveman who invented the wheel, and it was the scientists who gave us all the theories of how and why it works, plus all of the different things that we can accomplish with it. But it's still a wheel.

The reasons I heard today, on the news, for it not being a planet was twofold:
1. It's smaller than our moon.
2. It has a eliptical orbit instead of round, even though it revolves around the sun.

If future investigation proves that none of the "planets" have precisely a "round" orbit, planets as we know them will no longer "exist" .

But, that's just my opinion. It ain't worth a cup of coffee. I didn't mean to diss the scientific community. :sigh:

If you will check in on the Astronomers Forum, you'll see what happened:

Pluto posted that Uranus was ugly.
Uranus posted that he could blow Pluto away.
Pluto posted that Uranus was too close to Saturn.
Uranus posted that Jupiter was bigger than Saturn.
Pluto posted that Jupiter was too big and fat.

Jupiter was a godlike mod, and banned Pluto.

That's it, the whole story. :D

Pity the poor astrologers!! They'll only have 8 planets to work with. I bet it still won't stop them from telling us they knew it was going to happen ( after the fact!!).

Have you heard the latest news from Pluto? Some meetings were held recently, and they've decided Earth is no longer a planet. We've been demoted. Better get used to it.

Pluto is not a dwarf, Dopey, Pluto is Mickey's dog.

This could be misleading... Dopey is the dwarf, along with Sneezy, Weepy, Doc... Just ask Snow White! :D

"Merely a group of scientists trying to justify their existence......................"

Hit the nail on the head Bent!!

Now What Happens to Planet X?

Well, if there's no Pluto (Planet IX) then I guess that there's no longer a Planet X. So much for all those science fiction movies too!
