Just finished this one up recently. Plays and records well. It took me a while to figure out that the pause dummy plug was missing. I've never worked on an A-6010 before so when I saw the other 2 dummy plugs in place, I didn't think anything was missing. I made a replacement for it using a 6 pin DIN plug.

How can you say that about any model Nakmichi deck that it's not much? I have a MR-2 and it's a fantastic sounding deck.

My Twin's My Technics M-270 X's both work and built like tanks.
My Newer Pioneer CT-W850R Dual Deck.

There are more but not worth mentioning. I have 2 Optonicas made by Sharp. The Eico was a pretty advanced kit. It has 3 heads, 3 motors, electric breaking, push-button solenoid operation. The ckt was very crude with Ge-PNP transistors, so I redesigned it all. And yes I have a working 8 track, bc you never know...

Here my beautiful '75 NM Braun TG 1020 in full working conditions from first owner, only using it for operas in order not having to flip records. Very compact but massive with 20 Kgs. Made by Uher in my home town Munich the machine never left town infact

This is one of the top holy grail reel to reel tape decks if ever there were one. I love my Pioneer RT-707's but this baby has me outclassed by a country mile and I am loving every minute of it. Enjoy this beast for all she's worth.

It was sleeping in original box with operation/service manual and spares (belt, pinch roller, original reel...) . I appreciate the gentle handling of the tape. Its only shortcomings are the edition mode, which is not as well managed as that of an 800-series studer, and the plastic head cover. I'm very happy to count it as part of my collection.

WOW, I get way, but open reels seems like a risky way to record.
