Post Your Marantz Gear Here!!!

Marantz 2275 recapped and sounding lovely. Built a new cabinet to show it off and keep the audio footprint tight in my townhouse. The face plate has a few blemishes, might try out a black replacement in the near future. Enjoyed listening to this in the garage on my Yamaha NS 690’s that I picked up a few months ago for $70 from an estate sale while I was building the cabinet. Now I’ve got to find another Marantz for the garage…

Nice cabinet! The 2275's look very good with a black face plate... I don't remember exactly who I bought this one from, someplace in Germany is all I recall:

Here are just some of the Marantz gear I've had during the past 14 years. I've also owned a beautiful 2285 receiver, Model 18 receiver and the infamous 1060/110 amplifier-tuner combo! The 20B tuner was fantastic, but I wasn't using it and sold it back in 2010! I found the 5020 at a local thrift store back in 2020 for $15! I completely restored it and was proud of how well it worked. All I have left is my beautiful Baby Marantz 2010! I've already recapped the power supply and output caps, along with the power supply filter cap. I recently purchased a recap kit for all the boards, except for what I've already done, and just need to find the time to get it done! My "Baby" Marantz is wonderful!

I got lucky during a time. When vintage stuff wasn't as sought out after.
Well it is harder and harder to purcase some nice gear at bargain... Everything wearing a Marantz badge, worth a fortune in sellers eyes&brains.
I ve got some luck during the time, but engraved 2270 could be sky high. It is the only item to finish my collection. 2215,2230,2245 are safe&sound.

I picked up this 2250b at a garage sale over 10 years ago. Put it in my garage connected to some paradigm 5se speakers and never looked at it again. It had a broken power switch, several burnt out lights and just the metal/vinyl cover when I got it. FF to today.... following a divorce and all the expensive, modern gear in the house was liquidated, this receiver became the daily driver in the house. Seeing how I had ignored it for so long I treated it to new LED's, a power switch and most recently a new reproduction cabinet from Germany. I also set the basic idle current, voltage and offset as per the manual. She sounds wonderful and is just beautiful! I am in the cue to get a complete restoration from a local tech who has a 6 month waiting list. I also own a Yamaha CR820 which is a very nice piece as well.

Beautiful restoration! One of my favorites. The Yamaha is sweet too.
