I'd look for a non-working donor unit ... it is too expensive for somebody to make just one...

Krautmaster, thank you for the advice. I have been for some time. The issue is also I have not found yet any outfit that would reproduce it hence I cannot quantify the price.

Missing feet, has some lights out and needs a little internal cleaning. This 2226 is in pretty good shape overall. No damage that I can find.

I'm very pleased with how this one turned out. This is the first Marantz receiver of this type I've had with the yellow dots in the tuner dial.

It's also the first one I've had that doesn't have indicator lamps for each source.

Looks really nice in person, though!

I know what you mean. Now that I have a 2020B receiver I want a matching 5220 cassette deck! Not the best deck by a long shot but they would look so cool together.
