Same here: a 2226B was what got me back into real audio many years ago after I became disappointed in the HT receiver my wife and I were using when I upgraded our speakers. I went over to Saturday Audio Exchange, saw a 2226B on their used gear shelves, and asked a salesman for a listen. "This is it," I thought. It was that full-bodied sound I remembered from my youth. It had the optional wood cabinet, had been gone through by a tech, and IIRC it was $225 retail to show you how things have changed over the years. Eventually, I sold it because I had to try out everything under the sun, and pretty much all gear was very affordable back then. I won't make that same mistake with the 2220B.
